About Dr. Waikem

Dr. Emily Waikem grew up in Bradenton Florida and spent plenty of time reading on the beach, running, swimming and playing many outdoor sports. She had braces for 7 years growing up and during that process decided to become a dentist. Dr. Emily thinks dentistry is the perfect way to combine her love for science, artistic ability, and passion to help others!

Dr. Emily graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and moved to Denver, Colorado for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. She is an active member in the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Denver Metro Dental Society. While in school, Dr. Emily was the Regional Community Service Director for the American Dental Association and she continues to volunteer her time at Colorado Mission of Mercy and various local events. She strives to make her patients feel comfortable while providing the best quality dental care.

Dentistry is just one of Dr. Emily’s many passions. She is an avid National Park lover and enjoys being outdoors and spends most weekends hiking, camping and backpacking. Dr. Emily also enjoys music, traveling, gardening, hockey and football, photography and yoga.
